The Events at Calvary as Revealed in Scripture

ISA 45:8 Drop down, ye heavens, from above,

and let the skies pour down righteousness:

let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation,

and let righteousness spring up together;...

The earth at the foot of the cross opened during the earthquake at the moment of Christ's death (Mat. 27:50-51). Then:

the central object of the Most Holy Place

and the literal earthly throne of His Father:

DAN 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people, and upon thy holy city, to... make reconciliation for iniquity,

and to bring in everlasting RIGHTEOUSNESS,...

and to ANOINT THE MOST HOLY.

"salvation" and the way for all mankind to

obtain the "righteousness" of Christ

did "spring up together" after "the earth opened"

and His offering of His Own Blood was accepted by His Father.

who saw the future coming of the Savior in the heavens,

that He STILL bears the mark of the spear in His side

from which flowed His Precious Blood:

he had BRIGHT BEAMS coming OUT OF HIS SIDE:

and THERE was the HIDING OF HIS POWER..... (Marginal reading).
